 What is PRF?

 Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a groundbreaking new technique in regenerative medicine that many patients are benefiting from. PRF is a meshwork of cytokines, growth factors, and cells that are harvested from a small amount of the patient’s own blood. This blood is spun at a specific rate and time to form a fibrin clot full of regenerative potential.

Por qué Choukroun de PRF A?

Muchos estudios recientes han demostrado el interés y potencial de las células de la blanco en la cascada inflamatoria, como un corolario, una acción destacada en los primeros días de la estimulación de células progenitoras de osseo. (Omar & Thomsen, Biomateriales, 2012, Kawazoe T, Célula. Trasplante 2012)

Por lo tanto, era natural tratar de capturar el importe total de monocitos en la PRF, para que sea más activo en injertos óseos estimulante, pero también a una transformación más rápida de monocitos en macrófagos que aumentan la estimulación de hueso de efecto.

El concepto de PRF (Plaquetas ricas en fibrina) se basa en la centrifugación de sangre sin anticoagulantes. (J. Choukroun et al.. 2001). Al final de la vuelta, se obtiene un coágulo de fibrina que contiene la mayoría de las plaquetas y glóbulos blancos.

Este coágulo de fibrina llamado Platelet Rich Fibrin or PRF se liberan gradualmente y factores de crecimiento o citoquinas en el sitio (VEGF, PDGF, TGF Beta, Thrombospondin)

El objetivo esperado de estos factores de crecimiento es para acelerar el tejido blando y hueso curativo.
